We at the Adopt-a-Horse program make every effort to place our foster horses in a permanent, loving home. We try to match the talents and demeanor of our horses with that of the perspective adopter. We do this to the best of our ability, and we do require an adoption contract to be filled out, a pre-approval visit to the adopter’s horse accommodations, and we check references including any history with animal control. We require a structured shelter, secure fencing that does not include barbed wire, and the physical and financial ability of the potential adopter to provide proper nutritional and medical care to the horse. We do not adopt our horses out on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We also make every effort to acknowledge and review every inquiry we receive. The most effective way to inquire about one of our horses is to click on their picture or their name, fill out your contact information and click on “reply to this posting”.
